shhh... I skipped a week somewhat unintentionally but I'm back on track with my Sunday evening shipment. Just like I barely missed a beat and with no less than 51 new subscribers! Thank you for tuning in! As always, if there is something you think I should feature, let me know! Here's what was on my radar recently:

A Weekend in the Sierra Mountains at Giro Cycling’s Grinduro! | The Radavist
Anyone who knows me knows (despite not being an mtb'er) I love riding dirt & mud & especially that I'm fond of tandemming. Well, John at the Radavist killed it with coverage of Giro's Grinduro & Kyle from Golden Saddle has me wanting an mtb tandem! Hope to make it out next year!
CATCH UP, WITH OLAF WIT on Vimeo
Bombtrack caught up with my good friend Olaf of Wit Industries. Take 4 mins to learn about developing bikes, racing bikes, the ever-growing fixed gear criterium scene and especially going fast.
Cycling’s Celebrity Savior | Outside Online
Living in Holland, i can easily forget that bike commuting is not the norm elsewhere. “If Hollywood could make smoking cool, it’s interesting to see what it could do for cycling," – Mad Men writer-producer Tom Smuts weighs in on how celebrities can make cycling normal in America and beyond.

How to fight workload paralysis
We’re all busy. But sometimes we go through periods where the work piles up and it seems like it might never end. This article is on topic for me. I'm just about a year into striking out on my own and have hit this wall more than a few times. The article's closing tip? Make health a priority. For me that's always finding time to ride!
How Introverts Can Make the Most of Conferences
I loved this one. When I first got into the startup scene I was by no means an introvert but I didn't know how to rub elbows at tech confs & always I try to relate to people who struggle at 'working the room'. One of the gems: it’s so much easier to attend a conference if you’re one of the speakers, because everyone’s heard your talk, and now you immediately have something to talk about with everyone in the room. Even for introverts!
Why Experienced Salespeople Fail at Startups
Greg Poirier has been mentoring and advising startups for several years now. He has hired hired (and fired) sales people at the startups he's been a part of and shares some pointers here. Spoiler alert? Enterprise sales people tend to make the mistake of trying to sell their solution right away. They don’t understand they have to establish a problem and credibility first. Great insight in this one!

Amsterdam Sales & Business Development Meetup for Local Startups
Sales Hacker Amsterdam is a year old! This regular speaker series for B2B startups with less resources trying to generate more revenue is this month on the 29th at 7:30am at Travelbird. Lookout for speaker announcements this week & if you'd like to talk this month or in the future, let me know!
The Datanyze Sales Intelligence Hub
Resources for sales development, prospecting and lead generation via curated blog posts, ebooks, webinars and more. Pretty impressed by this thinly veiled marketing effort! ; ) Truly valuable for so many people that I speak to about sales every week.
Want to automate your sales pipeline?
Pretty impressed by this step by step video.! I'll be trying out Quickmail.io on some sales & PR projects this week.
Radness
Got out today on the Meesterknecht Fall Fundo. Above is certainly the smoothest stretch on a brutal sprint section across an abandoned airfield by Het Nationaal Militair Museum near Utrecht. Otherwise, we were most on dirt & mud slowly hammering out 160km. Was a great ride with a great group! Check it out on Komoot & Strava. More photos on instagram.
Thanks for tuning in this week!
