Hey there!
Been a minute!
I hope you had a good weekend! It was my first to stay at home in quite some time! My itinerary had several trips lined up back to back, and I'm extra glad to be back!
Since my last issue,
- Errol & I had our eye-opening East Berlin trip. It changed my view of the city!
- After that, I was in Düsseldorf for Cyclingworld Europe. What an impressive show! Check out our Day 1 & Day 2 recaps + fave builds of the show here.
- Then I was in London with my family for my friend Rob Quirk's 40th.
- Last weekend, I was in Berlin for Kolektif & also did Day 1 & Day 2 recaps. It & the Rad Race are two of my favorite things about the scene here in Europe!
Over the next few weeks, I'm staying home in Holland, but that doesn't mean Twotone, our clients & friends don't have a shortage of great events coming on the calendar:
- April 6: Super 73 Europe's Trail Bash Launch Event with food, music & more
- April 13th: Olympian & Endurance Cyclist Event at Ampler Amsterdam
- April 14th: The 2nd Dox Under the Tracks Jazz Evening at Workspace 6
- April 20th: Cracked Earth Amsterdam Screening (more dates here!)
Beyond that, I'm back in Florida one last time at the end of the month before Otto & Mira return for the summer in June. While there, I'm proud to be helping organize a 'bike bus' to inspire kids there to cycle to school. And when I return, I'll head to Greece for the inaugural Hellenic Mountain Race. Whew!
One old adage keeps echoing in the back of my mind: as long as I hold my line, I'll be fine! I've got this. You've got this. We've got this!
It's springtime, baby! Let's ride!
as always, thank you for reading & sharing this newsletter,
Jon

Lars Schneider's Analog Cycling Stories
For the launch of a new series of bikes, Lars went on a photographic journey focused on exploring cycling culture in Paris, Copenhagen, and San Francisco. Every image was shot on film with his Leica M6. I love the idea of juxtaposing electric bikes & film photography! See more of Lars' work on his tumblr.

We Got Buzzed By a Driver & Reacted in the Worst Possible Way
My friend Jeff Lockwood contemplates cyclists sharing the road with drivers and how difficult it is to check your temper when your life is threatened in a flash. Antagonizing a motorist to the point they chase you with a tire iron is a whole different story. Read the story here. (Art by Beate Kubitz)
