At Twotone, we love connecting people through bikes and looking back at last year, that really shines through. There were many community events, rides, and parties. We love to host, guide, and get people outside!

When I first started my 2024 recap, the year felt a bit like a heavy headwind stretching up a false flat, where you wonder if you have a slow leak. You yearn for a ray of sunny hope through clouds that are foreboding and bleak. As rough (appealing?) as it sounds, that struggle is what we live for!

Even yesterday, I did a cyclocross race, ankle-deep in mud and pelted by hail. Even if you don't win, just by racing you certainly didn't fail! Hell, if it was easy, anyone would do it!

Yesterday evening, I took some time to summarize sunny moments I felt like highlighting from last year:

Maybe we make a video recap next year, but I like the ability to drill through via the links and relive all the memories.

If a project or two looks cool to you, we've got availability to take on new accounts in 2025. Let me know what you have in mind!,

Thank you for reading; Happy Holiday & wishing everyone all the best for 2025!

Jon

Omnium Mini-Max Review: Much More Than Just a Cargo Bike

Omnium Mini-Max Review: Much More Than Just a Cargo Bike –
After a full year of using the Omnium Mini Max cargo bike, John penned a review that reads like a love letter to this incredibly versatile platform... The Radavist’s content is built atop layers upon layers of bike nerd deep dives, stacked up over the past eighteen years. One such substrate is Morgan’s Omnium Cargo review from 2022. A year after that review was posted, Omnium asked if I wanted to check out its new Mini Max cargo bike. I had all but eliminated my need for a car in our hometown of Santa Fe and was curious if the…

Maybe my favorite review that Twotone helped secure this year. Let's hear it for cargo bikes!

His conclusion? "Despite hopes for recovery, post-pandemic, layoffs, insolvencies, and price wars dominate the landscape." Here’s a snapshot of his findings.

How to Turn a Competitor's Strength into a Weakness

"Much like some martial artists are trained to use their competitors’ energy, strength, and momentum against them, we can also employ a little positioning jujutsu to win against seemingly stronger competitors." Perspective is everything. Nice one, April!

Antonia Leise Interviews Alex van der Hulst About Music Reviews

"In this episode, Antonia delves into the world of music, more specifically, music reviews. Together with her guest, Alex van der Hulst, she explores the shift from rockism to popism, asks whether we can separate artists from their art, and remembers iconic and extremely inauthentic pop groups" I know Alex from the bike reviews he's done for newspapers but know his music reviews too. Cool episode!
